Our artisan coffee shop fit out for KiKi’s Cafe in central Milton Keynes was a complete design and build project.
Named after the owner’s granddaughter, the cafe specialises in home baked cakes and freshly prepared food. The international menu is prepared on-site with the chefs using locally-sourced ingredients wherever possible to support local suppliers.
KiKi’s Café is a perfect venue, whether you’re looking for a coffee shop for local community groups to meet or a place to take your laptop to get on with some work and enjoy a great coffee. It provides a comfortable and welcoming environment with plenty of light and a calm ambience – the perfect spot to help you focus and be productive. They also offer free, high-speed internet access and convenient charging stations.
The cafe runs regular seasonal events throughout the year – from Halloween parties to watercolour painting sessions – there is always something happening.
Our team was commissioned to design and fit out the new coffee shop which occupies a 130sqm floor.
The project involved:
- Design and empty shell fit out
- Creation of a fully operational commercial kitchen
- Installation of air conditioning system
- Installation of ventilation system
For this artisan coffee shop fit out, the client wanted a very unique aesthetic. The purple colour theme runs throughout and swathes of faux flowers create the feeling of entering an exclusive secret garden. The floral displays are a continuation of the floral theme which runs in the adjoining Aura Skin Clinic located upstairs.
Neon signs in ultraviolet spell out ‘Where the magic happens’ (the kitchen), ‘This must be the place’ and ‘Be savage not average’.
The walls are painted in a complementary shade of purple, offset by the herringbone Amtico flooring in Dusky Walnut.
We can recommend popping by if you’re in the area to sample some of their delicious cakes!
