This was a super-speedy fit out of an empty shell. The Apollo Interiors team created a stylish and practical six-surgery, three consultation-room clinic in just six weeks.
Award-winning specialist orthodontist, Dr Kalim Sadiq, chose Apollo Interiors to fit out his new practice following recommendations from colleagues in the dental industry.
Orchard Orthodontics is based in a prominent location on Brixton Hill and ideally situated for public transport links. Brixton tube station is just a three minute walk away.
Layout
The layout was designed with architect, Alan Tate, to create optimal patient flow. There are six sound-proof surgeries with pocket doors to maximise space. Each surgery has easy access to the decon room. In addition, three consultation rooms offer privacy for patients to discuss their treatment plans.
Latest Technologies
The clinic is equipped with latest technologies including iTero scanners, digital DPT and ceph machines plus 3D solutions to print retainers and aligners. Medical histories and patient consent are captured on tablets to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Sustainability and Wellbeing
The clinic was developed to promote sustainability and staff wellbeing. Cycle racks and a staff shower were fitted to encourage cycling to work. The staff room is located with a view on to the garden to help the team relax during their breaks.
Natural materials
The smart design scheme centres around natural stone and wood. Simple white walls allow the natural materials to shine through. The flooring and bespoke reception desk have hints of walnut to complement the walnut doors fitted throughout the clinic.
Finishing touches, such as a chandelier which echoes the shape of the client’s logo, help bring the scheme together.
