Apollo were awarded the refurbishment of Wimpole Street Dental Clinic, consisting of three treatment rooms and a sterilisation room, for Dr Christian Mehl at his practice at 55 Wimpole Street. One large treatment room was to be split to form an additional CBCT room and corridor, the other two treatment rooms were a full refurbishment of the existing space.
The project revolved around a very unique lighting scheme put together by Ana from Syntax Lighting. The scheme involved large over-chair oval light installations featuring different settings that can be controlled via smartphone or a light switch. The lighting can then be altered according to the specific light requirements for different procedures.
All rooms were refurbished to a very high spec: solid surface cabinet fronts and Corian worktops were fitted throughout by Blueprint Dental as well as a state of the art CBCT.
The design scheme was kept very simple. Clinically white walls showcase the detailed period cornicing and ceiling rose in the main surgery which are highlighted further by concealed uplighting. Wood effect LVT flooring finishes off the overall high-end look.
Apollo very much enjoyed working with Christian and his team, as well as working with a new designer in Syntax and collaborating again with Blueprint Dental after many successful projects working together.
