I started my career as a Production Engineer apprentice at General Motors, where I spent some years in Germany, which was a great experience. I continued my Engineering career back in the UK at Vauxhall General Motors in Luton, before joining Genus Property Services PLC as a Commercial Quantity Surveyor. I spent an enjoyable 15 years at Genus, heading up the Estimating Department for the Residential, Commercial, Dental and Medical sectors. During this time, we dealt with the Audit Commission and large global businesses, including Arthur Andersen and Deloitte & Touche. In 2010, myself and Roy Bashford set up Apollo Interiors. Within 6 months, we had a great team around us and had all taken on our own areas of responsibility – although it’s all hands on deck most of the time and we share the load! I take on Project Management, Accounts and Estimating and love getting out and about and meeting new people. Apollo is synonymous with quality and the fact that we have so many recommendations must mean we are doing something right! We are excited to see where the business takes us.

My key role at Apollo is on the project management side. Andrew Wright Project Manager
I first met and worked with the directors at Apollo fifteen years ago. I started as a labourer, working under the numerous Contracts Managers my previous employer had, on many different interior fit out projects. I immediately got the bug for refurbishment projects and continued to progress at the company until I left for university.
I studied for a degree in Economics for Business and graduated in 2007. I went straight back to work with Elwyn, Chris and Roy where I continued to work hard and progress to level of Contracts Manager within a couple of years. My degree helped me understand the financial side of the business in greater detail and led me to work towards Project Management, moving away from site based work.
I moved companies and went to work for another interiors business for a year before joining Apollo Interiors in early 2012. Since then I have loved working for Apollo. We all work extremely hard to keep the company progressing and have carried out some fantastic projects for some amazing clients.
Outside of work, I’m a very keen golfer and enjoy weekends away playing with a group of friends whenever possible. I’m a big football fan and enjoy watching games at my local social club.

Martyn Kitchen Contracts Manager
Upon leaving school, I became a trainee Cabinet Maker within the musical instrument industry. After qualifying, I ventured into site installations of plastic laminate products and eventually moved on to general building, in positions including 18 months as site person in charge (S.P.I.C ) on the east London line refurbishment. I’ve spent the last 17 years working within the dental industry as a Site Manager, and from early on realised my passion for this area of work.
Alongside my professional career, I used to be a member of the Territorial Army in Bomb Disposal and later in life have successfully completed my RYA Yachtmaster.
I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to continue my career with Apollo, their passion and expertise in this sector is evident and I’m eager to bring my experience to future projects to continue their journey of success.

Dave Grimshaw Projects Coordinator
After completing a City and Guilds Engineering qualification, I trained in office interior construction and have spent my career specialising in this area. I have experience in all aspects of interior construction, from estimating to site management and I’ve worked on a broad range of projects, from commercial buildings and high-end residential properties to private healthcare centres and dental practices. For the past three years I have been actively involved in working for Ramsay Health Care & HR Owen Group, covering multiple projects around the UK.
My role from start to finish on any project is to primarily progress the project in a professional manner, liaising with the client and team at all times in order to meet client expectations.
My career highlight to date has been working on an office refurbishment for The Prince’s Trust in Victoria, London. This was a special project as the Queen, Prince Philip and Prince Edward attended completion to thank all those involved.

Naomi Ford Business Administrator
I joined Apollo in 2019 to support the team with finance administration, following a role as an Accounts Manager for a small weddings and events business. Prior to having my two children, I spent eight years working in market research for Millward Brown, an international quantitative research agency. I managed research projects into brands and advertising for a range of clients from L’Oreal UK to Visa Europe. My responsibilities included questionnaire design, management of fieldwork and analysis of the research findings, which I shared with clients through reports and presentations.
Outside of work family is the priority! But I always make time to keep fit and love a fitness challenge. This allows me to enjoy the odd treat or two, and I love to cook and bake – the children’s birthday cakes being the highlight!

I joined the Apollo team in 2018 as Head of Marketing. After studying Marketing and Modern Languages at uni, I went straight into a graduate marketing role in Tesco, where I spent the next 15 years gaining a varied experience of all areas of marketing, from publishing and POS to digital marketing.
After leaving Tesco, I went freelance as a Marketing Consultant and turned my focus from retail to B2B.
I love languages and am fluent in Italian and studied French and German to a proficient level. When I’m not working, outside of spending time with family and friends, I enjoy craft activities and learning new skills. I’ve previously done several silversmithing courses and I’m excited to be embarking on a furniture upcycling workshop.
