It’s with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Chris Armstrong. Chris was a founder of Apollo Interiors and one of our company directors from the time Apollo was set up back in 2010. Chris managed a lot of our projects, particularly within our residential division, and was greatly appreciated and respected amongst clients and colleagues. As many of you are aware, Chris fought and won a brave battle against cancer back in 2013. Unfortunately, the cancer returned last year and despite another brave fight, Chris sadly passed away on 20th February 2019.
Prior to setting up Apollo Interiors, Chris was a Civil Engineering graduate who started his own steel fabrication company. He joined a company called Newtech Interiors and in the nineties travelled to Ghana for a six-month placement but ended up staying for seven years! Whilst there his career took many different turns, including working on bridge installations, a cocoa farming infrastructure project and building commuter and feeder roads through the bush. He was even appointed a consultant to the Ministry of Defence. It was in Ghana that Chris met his wife, Eunice, with whom he has two sons, Leon and Louis. He also has three daughters, Camille, Caprice and Gabriella, from a previous marriage. On returning from Ghana, Chris joined Genus Property Services, where he met Elwyn and Roy. It was here that they came up with the idea of starting their own business.
Chris was an integral part of the Apollo team and our everyday lives and he will be sorely missed. Our condolences and best wishes are with Chris’s family and friends at this sad time. Rest in Peace.
